About the Initiative
VARNA is dedicated to preserving and promoting the art of handwriting among students across Karnataka. In an increasingly digital world, we believe beautiful handwriting remains an essential skill that enhances cognitive development and personal expression.
Our mission is to inspire young writers to master the art of penmanship, celebrate their achievements, and foster a community that values the timeless elegance of handwritten text.
Participant Categories
Primary
Grades 1–4
Beginners use four guiding lines for perfect letter height and shape.
Middle
Grades 5–7
Students refine handwriting with cleaner alignment and controlled spacing.
High School
Grades 8–10
Encourages mature, confident handwriting without line guides.

Cursive
